Sistema Aotearoa is completely FREE! Thanks to our amazing supporters and donors, we’re able to offer high-quality music education at no cost to families.

Nope! Sistema Aotearoa provides all the necessary instruments and resources for free. As your child progresses, they’ll also have the opportunity to take an instrument home to support their learning.

Learning a musical instrument takes commitment and consistency. Your child will need to attend both In-School and After-School Orchestra sessions regularly. Being part of a music group is like being part of a team — every member matters!

We understand that sometimes things come up. If your child is going to be away, please let us know as soon as possible. Regular attendance is really important — it helps your child grow and supports the whole orchestra.

Once your child has been signed in and is attending a scheduled Sistema Aotearoa lesson, our team takes responsibility for their safety and wellbeing until the lesson finishes. During this time, they are supervised by trained tutors and staff.

If a child is on-site without a scheduled lesson, they remain under the responsibility of their parent or caregiver. As our venue is a public space, we cannot provide supervision or safeguarding for children who are not actively participating in our programme.

Please ensure your child is picked up promptly at the end of their session. For safety reasons, children will not be allowed to leave the venue on their own or wait unsupervised.
