Congratulation to all the students in the KUPE orchestra who have achieved a 100% pass rate in their ‘instrument license tests’ and have been awarded an instrument to take home. All these hard working students have demonstrated they can care for their instruments properly and have committed to doing their practise at home as well as showing focus and supportive Sistema behaviour in their teaching sessions.
In addition to our Sistema Aotearoa concerts, our students play in all sorts of places in the community; in church, at community events and are always in demand to play for their family and friends at whanau gatherings.
We are very grateful to our wonderful funders and supporters who help us to have sufficient instruments to operate – either by financial support or through donating a pre-loved string instrument – without this support these smiling faces wouldn’t happen!
